6m³ Skip Bin Hire in Brisbane
We run the 6m³ across Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast. Almost everybody reading this page is deciding between this bin and the one below it, so that is what the next section is.
4m³ or 6m³, and what each mistake costs
This is the most common question we get asked and both ways of getting it wrong cost real money. Order too small and you pay for two deliveries. A second bin is a second truck, a second drop and a second pick up.

Why a kitchen fills a bin faster than people expect
A kitchen looks small on the plan and it is bulky in a bin. The cabinets come out as boxes that will not stack flat. The benchtop goes in whole because nobody wants to cut it twice. There is the splashback, the old range hood, the flooring underneath, and the wall linings if the layout is changing.
Add a bathroom to the same fortnight and you have added tile, plasterboard and a bath, which is not much volume but a lot of weight. That combination is exactly what the 6m³ is for.
Book it as light builders if there is no soil, brick or concrete going in. Book it as builders and mixed heavy if there is, because that is the price difference the tip charges us and passing it on either way is the only honest option.

- The rear door earns its keep on this size more than it does on the 4m³. A benchtop or a cabinet carcass goes through the door in one piece. Lifting the same thing over a wall this tall takes two people and usually takes a chunk out of the paint on the way.

When a bigger bin is the wrong answer
If the load is heavy rather than bulky, the 6m³ is not the way up. Dense material reaches the tonnage allowance long before it fills the bin, so a bigger bin just gives you more room to go over the limit in.
A load of broken tile, brick or slab belongs in a 3m³ filled properly, and clean slab on its own belongs in a concrete only bin, which is cheaper again because clean concrete gets crushed and reused instead of buried.

Sigma runs seven skip bin sizes in Brisbane, from 2m³ up to 12m³.

8m³ Sigma Bin
Step up to the 8m³ when the job stops being a room and becomes a building. Full house clearance, a big landscaping job, a small demolition. The 8m³ also needs more room to land, so access starts to matter at that size in a way it does not here.
