How much room a skip bin needs
The bin arrives on a skip truck with lifting arms. We can usually set it down on a driveway, and where the access suits we may be able to lift it over a low fence or gate. Move any cars out of the delivery area before the truck gets there, and look up. Overhead branches, roofs and power lines stop more deliveries than tight driveways do.
Want it on the lawn, in the backyard or on pavers? Send us photos of the way in and the spot before you book. We will tell you whether we can deliver and collect it there, and whether the surface needs protecting.
A 2m³, 3m³ or 4m³ sits in a single car space. From the 6m³ up the bin is 3.6 metres long or more, so it needs a longer driveway and a straight run in for the truck. If the only place it can go is the road, that is a permit job, and the service areas page has the answer council by council.

What we will not take
Some things cannot go in a skip bin at all, and the fine for putting them there lands on whoever fills the bin. We do not take asbestos. That is licensed work and it needs a licensed operator, not a skip.

How long can I keep it?
7 days is included and there is no cap after that. A bin can sit on a job for a month if the job needs a month.
What if I fill it before then?
Tell us and we will come and get it. You do not have to sit on a full bin for the rest of the week.
Can I put it on the road?
Yes, with a council permit. On your own driveway or front yard you need nothing from anybody.
What happens if I overfill it?
The driver cannot legally take a bin loaded above the top rail. That means either pulling the excess off on the spot or us coming back, so load it level and it never comes up.
How fast can you get one out?
